Alright, ladies, this weekâs tip isâŚwell, a bit of a plea on behalf of rec league players everywhere. You know who weâre talking aboutâthe ones who want a great game, some friendly competition, and maybe even a few laughs.
I get asked a lot (I mean, just last week alone!), âWhatâs your best advice for dealing with players who call questionable line calls, argue over every other point, make up rules, and generally make the match feel like a courtroom drama?â
So, today, letâs take a different approach. Instead of tips for what we can do in response, this post is a heartfelt plea to those players to look inward.

I love tennisâitâs my ultimate stress relief. But itâs also the thing that can make me absolutely lose my mind! Sound familiar?
There are 10 billion chances in one match to lose your mind. And hereâs the thing: you can practice all day, be the best player on the court, but if you let emotions take overâif you get mad, frustrated, or annoyedâyouâre DONE.
